- zepto 5y agoWhat difference? Are you suggesting the UK or New York have authoritarian governments?
- Aaargh20318 5y agoAre you suggesting they don’t ?
- zepto 5y agoI’m not suggesting anything. I want to understand what swiley meant by their comment.
- fwn 5y agoI'm not the parent but if the question is "who is meant by authoritarian regimes?" a great example on how to measure authoritarianism is the democracy index assembled by the Economist Intelligence Unit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy_Index https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democracy_Index > The index is based on 60 indicators grouped in five different categories, measuring pluralism, civil liberties and political culture. The 2020 report classifies 57 countries as authoritarian regimes, 35 more as hybrids.
- zepto 5y agoYour answer tells me nothing about what the parent meant, since neither the UK nor New York are listed as authoritarian regimes.
- swiley 5y agoYes, the UK has abused things like this in the past too. What's wrong with you? Why are you still with Apple? Are you paid by them?
