Ask HN: Which 20oz BPA-free 'plastic' bottle do you use for drinking your water?
- readonthegoapp 5y agoI basically use my 'vitamin water zero sugar orange rise' whatever 20 oz plastic bottle container as a refillable water bottle. I've currently got a rotation of two or three of them and I suspect I'm guzzling dozens of somethings of BPA and other fun fat- and cancer-causing chemicals on a minutely basis (it's def not the sugar and cake). This is the perfect size water bottle for me. This is my water bottle. I do not want any other water bottle. Yet I am tired of drinking fat and cancer. Is there a relatively healthy bottle out there like it?
- PaulHoule 5y agoThe average disposable plastic water bottle ♳ is made of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyethylene_terephthalate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyethylene_terephthalate and contains no BPA or other additives known to be toxic. You can reuse these a large number of times and not be afraid of anything.
- imacerealkiller 5y agoOne vote for Nalgene, had 3-4 of the same bottle!
- PaulHoule 5y agoFor a long time polycarbonate Nalgene bottles did have BPA but they've removed it. Who knows what they replaced it with.
- yokoprime 5y agoCamelbak Chute Mag. Parking the lid in the open position using a magnet is great, no loosing it and easy to clean
- elil17 5y agoWhy not use a metal water bottle? I’m very happy with my Kleen Kanteen
