I think it’s Tech Dirt that gets it wrong, and they're being disingenuous in their assertions. Tech Dirt is the technology industry, and they have an outsized incentive to protect 230 from any reform. I see a lot of talk on HN and in the tech and no tech media about 230 and it basically comes down to this: Tech supports it, everyone else supports reform. I don’t think the industry can ever be expected to police or reform itself, but will resist anything that could threaten their business model.
