I reversed Type 2 diabetes with a ketogenic diet. I had been referred to my local hospital's diabetes department and was prescribed Metformin. On my second appointment I was given "the talk" and told I would definitely end up on insulin - everyone does - and will probably have all kinds of nasty complications. Then we looked at my most recent HbA1c result. "The metformin is working well for now", he said. "Your a1c is back to normal". "No, I haven't been taking it. I've done that through diet alone." I was discharged from their care on the spot and haven't been back.
