This is what real estate is for; they are and have been all my life stocks. We are ruled by Market Logic so that everything becomes quantified (Mbembe Necropolitics) including the Public Commons of Human Shelter.

Things like public commons of human shelter do have a cost, as they require allocating and spending resources to build and maintain and to exist. If you need to buy materials to build and/or pay someone to work on it, whether to build it or maintain it, then it has a quantifiable cost.
