I’ve been running arch for 11 years, I’ve only had breaking changes a small handful of times, all of which were covered in an alert (email) of what to run to carry on. The only one that wasn’t was an upstream issue on chrome that was a secondary browser for me anyway. Ubuntu wouldn’t be a faster release, as it’s not rolling release. However Fedora would be in a similar step as arch.
