Why do they need backdoors to spy on Pakistan, when they have the "front door?"
Pakistan's biggest cellphone provider is China Mobile
- SubiculumCode 5y agoPakistan and China have been getting progressively closer/interrelated, and more antagonistic to India. I suppose it could be infrastructure. China loves to spy on allies/their own.
- redis_mlc 5y ago> Pakistan and China have been getting progressively closer/interrelated Pakistan is dependent on China for: - funding for BRI projects, and probably operating capital - organ transplants (Muslims prefer Uighur organ transplants because halal) - China is in the process of diverting water from Pakistan to Xinjiang. Pakistan probably thinks being engaged will prevent their citizens from forced migration. lol.
- Layke1123 5y agoAnd the west doesn't? XD
- uCantCauseUCant 5y agoChinas whole Asia strategy is focused on keeping india confined. No wonder - a young population, india has potentially its future still ahead of them.
- tgv 5y agoChina is thorough, and Pakistan is of great interest to them.
- ryzvonusef 5y ago> Pakistan's biggest cellphone provider is China Mobile pakistan's largest cell service provider is Mobilink, owned by an Egyptian company "Orascom", which in turn was bought by dutch based "Veon"
- baybal2 5y agoIt worth checking numbers again. I felt that Zong has passed the Mobilink by subscriber numbers few years ago, especially with their internet offers as of late.
- ryzvonusef 5y agoI've a friend who works in (a seperates) telecom company, I get regular active user rankings from him, if the leader board had changed i would have known ;p
- yorwba 5y agoThese numbers, which are dated June 2021, have Zong in third place with 21.96% of the market: https://pta.gov.pk/en/telecom-indicators/7 https://pta.gov.pk/en/telecom-indicators/7
