I believe you're thinking of the wrong class of vehicles. Trucking refers to the big 18 wheelers and such, not the little four wheeler trucks and vans. The Tesla Semi is an example, which may end up being great for short haul trucking.

- PhantomGremlin 5y agoTrucking refers to the big 18 wheelers and such, not the little four wheeler trucks and vans. This reminds me of some truck weigh station on some Interstate back east. (It's been years so I don't remember exact details). WEIGH STATION AHEAD ALL TRUCKS MUST STOP NO PICKUP TRUCKS
- Animats 5y agoThe Freighliner eCascadia (a semi-truck) and em2 (a straight truck) have been talked up since 2018, but apparently will not ship until 2022. Freightliner is a no-nonsense truck builder in a no-nonsense business. They probably will ship useful trucks. Although probably not with the silly purple LED lighting effects on the nose they stuck on the prototype. Unless something goes badly wrong, electric trucks are going to be all over the place next year.
