I think the title/abstract are seriously overstating the result -- the validators still have to hold onto what is essentially the set of spent outputs, which grows linearly with the number of transactions processed by the system.
- f7ebc20c97 5y agoWouldn't they only need to store the outputs that they themselves signed, in order to prevent themselves from signing the same one twice?
- DennisP 5y agoYes but that's two-thirds of the total number of transactions, since no transaction is final until two-thirds of validators have signed it.
