I want to see more of the US before I do any kind of international travel. The thing that holds me back is either I have to fly, or use our poor excuse for a rail network. I get a week at a time for vacation, and don't want to spend half of that just in getting there. I would be very much on board for something like this in the US. Zip across large swaths of country - I get where I want quickly. It would be nice if we found a way to make it open: we would still get to see the country as we pass by at ground level.
