Mind another perspective? Google has-from what I understand-absolutely excellent health insurance, 401K match etc. In today's inflationary environment those things are worth more than the $$$. So no worries. The "perks" are only perks if you actually wanted/use them. But if your "perk" is not having to drive in hellish traffic or take public transport for two hours to get to work after waking at some ungodly hour, then I'd say you just landed in clover. Your tax bill just went down...and if you use a competent CPA/Enrolled Agent, the office space, supplies etc that you need to do your work are a tax deduction. As an aside, Dear Google, I'm not the least bit techie, but I'd love to sit in my house covered by your great benefits any day...bonus, I'm not whiny. /jk
