I'm interested in why people are downvoting. Is the conclusion wrong? I'm unable to view the subreddit and the barrage of downvotes on seemingly correct comments does nothing to explain what it actually is.
- Overton-Window 5y agoA percentage of the population have been ideologically captured by the establishment. They're no longer able to entertain curious discussion. Any dissonance must be drowned out.
- stouset 5y agoIf categorically labeling those who disagree with you “ideologically captured” and “no longer able to entertain curious discussion” isn’t itself drowning out dissonance and discouraging curious discussion, I honestly don’t know what is.
