Amen brother... I'm 52 year old systems engineer and I dived deep into Python, Containers, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana and more shiny new things. Because of this I can call myself a SRE and have no shortage of work.
6 years ago, I was pretty much only a Linux guru. Good at that but not much else. If I didn't get up to speed on these new platforms, I'd be toast.
