I'm happy to keep up-to-date with 1Password and, for the little improvements they bring, I buy new versions when they come out—but am I right in thinking that they're getting rid of standalone vaults in this latest one? If true, that's disappointing. From using the Early Access version, is anyone able to confirm this? I remember there being some brouhaha when version 7 was rumoured to be dropping them, and that turned out not to be true. Ok, skimming the thread on their forum about a possible self-hosted option seems to confirm it. I don't want that fuss. I just want to be able to open my vaults. Syncing with iCloud never was a problem, so their vault-hosting service never made sense, in my case.
