- erikerikson 5y agoI would suggest reevaluating your financial approach. It will take time and effort but you can become independent of your job more quickly then you might expect.

- erikerikson 5y agoIt's a good point. I started that way. I still have friends who are. I'm still surprised by the ways they splash out sometimes, particularly given my knowledge of their base circumstances. In my finding we need a combination of compassionate, supportive policies combined with individual responsibility and prudence. I observe that we have combinations of neither in higher than desirable concentrations.
- tonyedgecombe 5y agoI never really worried about that. Having started work in a recession and finding jobs quickly after two layoffs made me fairly relaxed job security. It obviously helps if you aren’t too spendy.
