To be fair, klarna was a tiny stockholm startup that is now beating SV giants PayPal and stripe in many EU counties. There are also some big fintech startups around Klarna that seem to do very well. So I don't see any problems with their involvement with the article.

A competitor of Paypal would've been iZettle (from Stockholm), but Paypal bought them!

I don't think that Klarna's direct competitor of Paypal or Stripe. Maybe AfterPay and Shopify are more direct competitors. I also don't think Klarna is doing better than Stripe.
