Nice prediction that may well become true … but there is no reason to believe that Apple won’t sell $150 smartphones. Apple is willing to be competitive on price – from time to time.
I think the market will stay crowded with no clear king (but Samsung and Apple certainly as two big players). Yet I honestly don’t know. I think it’s currently very hard to predict anything in the mobile space.
- nextparadigms 15y agoI really doubt they will do it in the same time with Android manufacturers. The high-end iPhone is like $600. The rumors say they will release a $350 iPhone model, too. They won't go to $150 until 2-3 years from now, if ever. In the mean time Android phones will probably reach $50-$70, and once again will be selling more in volume.
