In Spain, driving license is renovated every 5 years until age 30, then every 10 years until age 50, then every 5 years until 60, then every year. And each renovation means: pass a vision test, past a reflexes test, pass a general medical test. The thought of having people enjoying their "freedom" on the road while exposing anyone to a car accident because of their bad physical condition sounds ridiculous to me (I'm Spanish.)
