Love this list. This is basically an exact list of my gripes about zig (don't get me wrong, I love zig). I am not an official voice on the matter but, I suspect cancelling async is likely to happen via some sort of "anointed" frame token/yield system in the stdlib (versus the language). I suspect interface/vtable could also be done in the stdlib if someone contribs a very clean way of doing it, though I would rate that as "less likely" to be in the stdlib vs a 3rd party lib than async tokens.
