As I see it, this is closely related to the wildfire preparedness promoted by the FireWise organization (Firewise.org takes you to http://www.nfpa.org/Public-Education/Fire-causes-and-risks/Wildfire/Firewise-USA http://www.nfpa.org/Public-Education/Fire-causes-and-risks/W... ).
I’m on the FireWise Committe for my HOA, and I’m trying to make various improvements around our house on an intermittent but ongoing basis. This is one of those things where you can almost always improve in some area.
