It's shocking to me that they don't even acklowege the critisms and fully ignore them. It would be one thing if they said that the potential implications are worth it, but they don't even acklowege them.
- dylan604 5y agoWhy is it shocking at this point? It's Apple and Apple will be Apple. Leopard can't change its spots.
- ilikepi 5y agoAs has been mentioned in other threads, Apple did not write the memo, a spokesperson from NCMEC did. EDIT: hmm, scratch that. Confusingly, it was an internal memo from Apple quoting a separate memo from NCMEC.
- pseudalopex 5y agoAn Apple VP wrote the memo. He included a note from an NCMEC director.
