Sounds like a prototypical Matt Levine “everything is securities fraud” case. It’s hard to get mad about any pain Activision Blizzard has to endure over this, but nonetheless weird to frame the shareholders as the victims.
- cratermoon 5y agoProbably, but is that worse or better than Thiel suing Gawker out of existence because his feeling got hurt?
- maverwa 5y agoIt might be an overly cynical view of the world, but maybe hurting them financially this way is the only way to make big enterprise understand that treating their employees good matters. I don’t think that morals and ethics are going to solve this problem, neither will laws. But taking their money might. I hope I am wrong. I want to believe in a world where kindness and dignity are the norm.
