- alkonaut 5y agoBeware of such eggs. They could be from a good producer but most likely not. If you buy eggs from reasonably happy animals you should be paying at least .50€ a piece. Same with pork. If you buy stuff without any (growth-)antibiotics and other nasty stuff you’ll pay a bit more. Crappy pork chops can be €5-10/kg but if you want to avoid the worst origin countries you need to pay 2-3x that.
- throwawayboise 5y agoYeah that must be for true free-range eggs (note that free-range and cage-free are not the same thing). Around here eggs are often a loss-leader promotional item. $0.99/doz is not uncommon to see.
