No offense but there's no way someone's gonna pay to get their website archived when Wayback Machine is free and you can run performance tests on some free tools available. If I'm gonna archive my website, I'll just keep the source code on a different storage media and I don't have to pay a dime. Nice project though. Keep going
- p013370 5y agoI appreciate you taking the time send me your feedback. > No offense but there's no way someone's gonna pay to get their website archived when Wayback Machine is free and you can run performance tests on some free tools available The problem (in my opinion) with the Wayback Machine is that you have no control over if or when your site is archived. Plus, the Wayback Machine does not archive DNS records or Lighthouse Scores. I'm hoping that makes my product more enticing, but we'll see. > If I'm gonna archive my website, I'll just keep the source code on a different storage media and I don't have to pay a dime. Nice project though. Keep going I'm getting the sense that most developers would never really use this service, since they're probably using Git and have backups. I'm hoping that this service will be more valuable for agencies and small businesses who just want to have simple snapshots of their sites and can't reply on a a developer for help. - Steve Polito
