Genome sequencing of SARS-CoV-2 shows that it appears to have genetically diverged from a horseshoe bat strain ... several DECADES ago!
The current behavior of this virus is not compatible with a virus that is that old. Unless the appearance of age is due to human modification. Which other genetic clues also seem to indicate.
If lab leak is true - it is inconvenient enough for geopolitical power to refute.
