Yes there are. Every scanner out there fingerprints the OS and throws known sploits at it. Solaris is easy to fingerprint.

- Annatar 5y agoGood luck breaking into a Solaris 10 or illumos system... even The Shop's exploits are now completely useless and obsolete, and have been for a decade. I did my graduate thesis on securing Solaris. Even back then, it was already difficult to break into, and locked down, it was damn near impossible. There were only about 13 processes running when I was done with it. Ran CheckPoint FireWall-1 like a dream.
