Psychogeography: A Purposeful Drift Through the City
- DoreenMichele 5y agoThis is about subjectively experiencing the different spaces of a city, mostly as a pedestrian. Which is cool and all, but I was hoping for more of what someone dubbed "Real world UX" just yesterday. The world needs more real world UX. https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28093652 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=28093652

- reidacdc 5y agoSeconding the recommendation for the Burglar's Guide book, it's very good, as is the blog. The essay reminds me very much of how my perspective on urban space changed when I started bicycling around my city, and ow it changed my relationship with the space. The city got smaller, and I got into a relationship with the topography -- hills relate to cycling more profoundly than to walking or driving.
