The Intellivision Amico video game system
- AnIdiotOnTheNet 5y agoSecond game console surprise (to me anyway, apparently this has been around for a while) in a month. I never expected to see the Intellivision brand on a console again. The model they're going with here is certainly unique. 100% ESRB E10+ or below, paying developers for cost of development, the Karma Engine for dynamic difficulty adjustment, all games both single and multiplayer, local multiplayer only, and no loot box or other predatory bullshit. Honestly, I'm pretty skeptical about how well something like this will do in the market, but they definitely have a vision for this thing. P.S. I do wonder if this may have started life as "should we make an Intellivision mini?", which would have been a natural move considering how often Intellivision games have been re-released on other consoles. If so, I give serious props to whoever decided to do something more interesting instead.
