- second--shift 5y agoFor people in eastern USA or Western/Northern Europe, the jet stream collapse is gonna be "the big one". Up until now, climate change has been a gradual-ish slow-boil process. If the jet stream collapses, your long-term climate changes overnight. Eastern USA cities underwater, Western Europe 5C colder.
