Electrons May Very Well Be Conscious
- rzzzwilson 5y agoUmmmm. No.
- gus_massa 5y agoIf you redefine conscious as "it follows the laws of physics", then electron are conscious, rocks are conscious, tree are conscious, cows are conscious and humans are conscious. Does consciousness implies a minimal memory? If electrons has at least one bit of memory, you can test that using quantum mechanics. Let's suppose that after seeing a positron the memory bit is flipped and the electrons became "scared" electrons (for some time?). You can split an electron beam in two entangled beams, "scare" one half, and then look at the interference patterns. Also, you can make Helium with 2 normal electrons and 2 "scared" electrons that will be very different from normal Helium.
- pestatije 5y agoWell if quantum chance is better framed as quantum choice then we can test it: grab the same single electron and see whether it flips quantum states randomly or consistently. You could identify single electrons.
