Given how often I see people in public (stores, elevators, restaurants) using their phones on either speakerphone or having video calls, allowing this on airplanes seems destined to make an already awful experience (at least for those of us in the cheap seats) even worse. Personally, I don’t fly that often, and I like being forced to be disconnected for a few hours. If I’m flying for business, that’s often some of my most productive time.
