We should stay informed, we should vote, but big-picture politics should be a small part of our lives. Relationships with real people, solving small-scale problems that confront those we care about, are what really count. I've added those to my personal list of Great Quotes! Not as poetic as the Russian, but more succinct. I sometimes wonder if gems like this are scattered throughout the social media firehose "like tears in the rain."
