I don't have a mandatory life insurance and my state mandates only liability car insurance, which is much less than my current coverage. Not only that, but I can choose among many different providers. If I don't like something in my insurance policy it takes a phone call to switch to another provider. If unions had been like insurance then nobody cared what union you joined. The lack of choice, both in joining/staying out and in which union to join, is what makes me anti-union.
