If you can't use Google, try to learn it. It is really fun and useful. Certainly something I would do if I were you, before I posted any more on the topic.
- chad_strategic 5y agoI just googled amazon... This is what I found. 1. AWS is an incredible software/suite /cloud service that I use and millions of others use on regular basis. 2. Amazon prime allows me to purchase products at my convenience. 3. Amazon Fresh allows me to grocery shop with out having to leave the house, as grocery shopping can be time-consuming. 4. Amazon Prime Video isn't too great, but it provides healthy competition to NBC, CBS, NetFlix, etc... 5. If it wasn't for Amazon, Walmart would have become the only and number 1 relatier in America in the early 2000's. 6. We still have high unemployment in America and not enough workers. I didn’t like my job a few years ago, so I quit and these people can to. But just a warning Mr. Amazon hater. Sounds like you got an axe to grind, but hey that’s cool. Let me give you a tip, it’s actually a stock tip. Get on the phone and call your financial advisor and tell him that you want to return all the profits you have made off of AMZN, because you feel bad the NLBR violation. What is that? You don’t have own AMZN stock? Do you own an index stock? SPY, QQQ? Yeap you profited. Try to explain to your financial advisor how to give those profits back. Look at your hands… you are part of the problem. So you might want to tone down your liberal hype, well cause you are just making your argument look weak.
- lmilcin 5y agoThis just proves my point. PLONK
- whydoibother 5y agoHaving a normal one today I see. Do you work for Amazon PR? Or just an angry VP yelling at people in comments? Or some poor soul that has loyalty to a global corporation that would grind you to paste if it turned a profit?

It's the old "you can't complain about this bad thing unless you live in a shack in the woods totally disconnected from modern society" argument.
- chad_strategic 5y agoYou are absolutely correct. It's a terrible argument, how dare me. Thankfully, let me cast aside my experience and education. I have been shown the blinding and heavenly light of Hacknews comment section! I had a sin (opinion) it didn't go over well, but now I by the Holy Spirit of Winston Smith I am reborn! Hopefully today, thru your anger, your well-placed debate, and your comments here on Hacker News you can find justice and the Staten Island Amazon warehouse workers. (although only a finding of merit has been found, not an complaint or even a crime.) Downvoting me and responding to my comments will right the ways of the world! There will be justice via social media activism! Isn't this what this article is about? Long live the employees of Staten Island Amazon Warehouse! Union now! #CancelAmazon! #StatenIslandAmazonWarehouseStrong #unionsforall I wish you the best in the search for justice and unionization (if that is what the employees want, via a vote). You alone can solve the problems of inequality that we face in America. Go with the power of non-offend deity, I truly wish you the best. Build the utopia that we all deserve. Let this response to your comment be marked as in history as the rallying cry!
- cratermoon 5y agoAre you one of those "Amazon FC Ambassadors" we heard about? https://gizmodo.com/whats-an-amazon-fc-ambassador-and-are-they-okay-1837274685 https://gizmodo.com/whats-an-amazon-fc-ambassador-and-are-th...
- chad_strategic 5y ago"In Spence’s case, the NLRB has made a finding of merit to the charges, and has indicated that it plans to issue a formal complaint. A finding of merit is not an official decision, but a crucial step in an ongoing proceeding. Amazon will now have the opportunity to settle. If Amazon does not agree to do so, then the NLRB will schedule a hearing before an administrative law judge." They are making me do a lot of work for a "finding of merit".
