That's a fine opinion. I happen to agree that some what you imply is true. But you can claim that about a lot of things that we choose to treat differently. Property crime is inevitable, and yet we devote significant resources to fighting that. Same with death. If you don't want to devote resources to figuring out what to do with a lot of "surplus humanity", they'll help you make up your mind later.
