If esthetics are of utmost importance this Ikea unit will be pleasant, but then again if actually cleaning the air is the priority there is no better device than a simple box fan with a high quality furnace filter taped to it, as CBC Marketplace's laboratory tests confirmed:

- dragonwriter 5y agoThis isn't just about aesthetics, but space efficiency. Putting an air filter in a usable side/end table has negligible additional footprint compared to a table with similar utility, whereas a standalone, whether a traditional unit or a box fan + furnace filter, has a substantial footprint for no utility beyond the filter function.
