Obviously this is hilarious.
But is it real?
Like, there are some quotes that don't make sense to me:
> Miller told POLITICO that ISIS was attacking the MAGA movement because Trump had destroyed the group militarily.
Really? Does anybody (even Daesh) think Trump is special in that regard? Do they think an Obama, Clinton, or Biden would be less willing to bring air power to bear on them? Crushing ISIS would have bipartisan support.
I'd be more willing to believe that they're just opportunistically looking for places that'll let their propaganda survive.
Or:
> “If this app reaches the expected success, which is mostly probable, it should be adopted by followers and occupied in order to regain the glory of Twitter, may God prevail,” one Islamic State account on Facebook wrote on July 6.
Is this... parody? Or,
> "We will come at you with slaying and explosions you worshippers of the cross,” wrote an account whose name referenced the extremist group, adding: “How great is freedom of expression.”
If I were writing clever sock-puppet posts, they might sound like that. I'd be kind of proud to troll that well.
But if this is real (and actually, also if it is not), then it just goes to show that Social Media is Fight Club. It's where aggressive primates go to scream at each other for entertainment purposes.
