Pfizer to pay $2.3B, agrees to criminal plea (2009)
- TroisM 5y agoThat's a start... such a massacre they performed over the years.
- refurb 5y agoPfizer was banned from selling drugs to Medicare and Medicaid, normally a death sentence but the govt agreed to just ban one their subsidiaries instead - one that didn’t sell drugs at all.
- azth 5y agoWhy isn't this more widely publicized? It definitely goes against the current narrative being pushed, kinda scary :(

- yehosef 5y agoIs the implication that this is old news and they have certain repented from their evil ways? I'm not so sure.
- LatteLazy 5y agoWell I was just saying that is why op hasn't heard more about it (we all might have if it was 2009 still). As to your wider point, I think that drug companies are so big they're basically model corporate pyschopaths. That said, the human cost of this seems much smaller than more recent opioid epidemic cases. But what do I know? I'm a limey brit, we're lucky not to have commercialised medicine...
