Often if you missed an episode you had one more chance usually either at 2 am or during the day time the next day.
- mikestew 5y agoOr, at least in the U. S., "summer reruns". The show would still be parked in the same time slot, but since production didn't run year-round, episodes from the last season would be rerun over the summer before the fall T. V. season started. But that was the last chance before you had to wait 25 years for the Dukes of Hazzard DVD box set.

- mixmastamyk 5y agoShows often repeated in the summer as well. Popular longer shows made it to syndication.
