FWIW, my first computer had a big endian CPU (Motorola 68000) so I'm thinking in big endian and every time I have to inspect a hex dump on my local machine I get confused if I look for more than 1 byte. Not that this happens a lot these days but once or twice a year I'm looking at some hex.
