I don't even see the issue with debt, tbh. It's not like people aren't riddled with it in the form of taxes for their whole lives. Some private debt on top isn't changing much in the end. Barring extreme cases where people go on a spending spree, usually for mental health reasons. Besides, rich people in Europe always leverage credit/loans/debt.
