I don't think you are correct that the A303 was ever abandoned, at least in modern times. It's been the primary route between London and South-West England for many decades.
- josefx 5y agoAdding that recent was bad in hindsight. The roads around Stonehenge had been around for a long time, but fell into disuse due to alternatives some years before the A303 was build.
