When you become a registered engineer or member of any other profession body you are required to agree to abide by a Code of Ethics as a condition of maintaining your accreditation. Thus as a professional you should refuse to engage in illegal, unethical conduct. If management remains unmoved, then resigning is really the best long-term option. The stress of any wrong-doing is bad for your health and in some cases, you could be liable to prosecution for your actions.
