If they ask the user and the use says it's OK, then I don't think there would be much of an issue.
- eurasiantiger 5y agoDepends on how they ask. If I have to scroll through a list of 400 partners and uncheck ”legitimate interest” for each one, there is definitely an issue. Looking at you, TechCrunch.

And they know next to no body will sit there an un-check those options. Such dark patterns are replete in this industry. They know, if given the choice, very few people would opt-in. They know this and it continues every day.
