It's that exact kind of persecution that is 'radicalising' people.
Joe average sees a 'funny' meme and shares it for his friends, next thing he knows he's in 'Facebook jail'. He is being punished for something he doesn't understand.
So instead of the platform taking the time to say 'what you shared was (factually) wrong and here's why', they just say "you're anti-semitic and a bigot, die!".
Disclaimer, I run a social site and our biggest growth comes from people who Facebook have literally radicalised, we're not the only platform either. There's hundreds in this space now, combined there's millions of members.
