Item 11 on pages 31-33 breaks down vaccine status/plan by different demographics.
The "I will not get vaccinated" answer is most strongly correlated with self-identifying as a conservative (34% will not get a vaccine) or having voted for Trump in 2020 (33% will not).
Either trait is by far the strongest predictor of whether someone says they won’t get a vaccine (rather than that they’re undecided or vaccinated). Age, race, education level, gender, and income are far less correlated if at all.
The “I’m not sure” response is much less correlated with those 2 things. It’s also much smaller, though.
Separately, Item 6 asks whether the respondent knows someone who has tested positive. The answers are almost identical between these groups. That is, self-identified political ideology and 2020 Presidential vote are not at all correlated with COVID exposure in one’s network. Folks are working with roughly the same firsthand experiences.
