He exposed the British government’s collusion, along with the US, in Uzbekistan’s torture regime. ..." The number of political prisoners in 'Western democracies' is growing by the hour, it seems. Certainly that number is still, far less than in many other countries, but what does the slope look like, and what should be the reference point ?
