Is it legal to crack the activation code if you cannot use the software using any official method?
- hughrr 5y agoI’ve run out of fucks when it comes to software licensing. I’ve cracked at least three things I paid for in the past when the activation or licensing system no longer worked.
- wizzwizz4 5y agoIn the UK, I'm pretty sure it's legal to crack the software full stop; if you're authorised to use it, you're authorised to use it. (Distributing the cracks, or really conveying any information you've learnt from disassembly, is still very illegal, though.)
