Jeffrey Epstein Got Away with It
- underseacables 5y agoJeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself.
- senectus1 5y agoQuite likely I'd agree, but him dying in custody to me is a sign that he didn't "get away with it"
- linksnapzz 5y agoWhoever killed him, has also gotten away with it so far...plus whatever else they've done that Epstein knew about.
- Koiwai 5y agoI supposed the article meant "get away with it (long enough)".
- xibalba 5y agoThe preponderance of evidence disagrees.
- underseacables 5y agoBut not beyond a reasonable doubt?
- tootie 5y agoI look at it like this: a murder is plausible because there were definitely some powerful people who wanted him dead. But for a murder or a hit to have happened there'd need to be a whole slew of extremely difficult tasks to set it up and leave zero trace. Also, it's thoroughly plausible that he killed himself and it would have been really easy to do it without any complicated plot. Occam's Razor says suicide.
- delecti 5y agoI'm entirely prepared to accept that someone in his position would attempt suicide, but from everything I've read, it seems implausible that he coincidentally happened to choose a time to do so, precisely when it would leave no evidence. If he did kill himself, it only seems plausible that he did so when he did because he was told that he would be able to go through with it.
- tootie 5y agoI don't think that's a coincidence. He knew his suicide watch was expired. The story about broken cameras was exaggerated because no cameras were ever pointed at his cell. Only one camera of many malfunctioned. There was ample evidence showing no one approached his cell. I'm also assuming the sleeping guards happens all the time at every jail and just never makes national news.
- jhgb 5y ago> Occam's Razor says suicide. Are you allowed a razor in prison, though?
- SOMA_BOFH 5y agolol
- Lendal 5y agoIt's the title of a chapter toward the end of Brown's book. A criticism, because she never answers the question or gives any evidence.
- briefcomment 5y agoI thought we have a lack of any evidence. No witnesses, no footage.
- coding123 5y agoReally, Wikipedia's article on it sounds like no one is that sure.
- kevin_thibedeau 5y agoThere's a reason why he got the lightest sex offender conviction in US history. Very likely he was providing information on his associate's exploits as part of a deal. Once they knew he was squealing it was only a matter of time before they fixed their problem.
- rejectedandsad 5y agoI think the most likely case is he did kill himself. The second most likely case on the long tail is that Bill Barr ordered him dead. Everything else is unlikely in my eyes.
- dukeofdoom 5y agoDo we need to get the fact checkers involved. They will debunk you faster than you can say "election fraud". now take your shot.
- mr_woozy 5y agohuh?
- gillytech 5y agoI don't think Epstein getting prosecuted in the first place was part of the script. The people who had him killed have enough power to pull off much more complex undertakings. Don't forget about Ghislane Maxwell. Keep an eye on that story as well. Let's see how it plays out.

- yann2 5y agoSo what is the chimp troupe supposed to do if they run into a micro or mini Epsteins in their lives? I ran into one douche who would recite all the things he had done for ppl anytime someone pointed his behaviour was crossing lines. He had like a whole bunch of ppl running around praising his contributions 24*7. And after such reminders everyone in the room would not just let things slide, but apply all kinds of pressure to silence others. What was truely absurd was the more people avoided the issues, the more he would get suprised and shocked when his behavior was called out. He would litterally use it to extract sympathy (mostly from ppl dependent on him) - 'look at the things I have done and look at how i am being treated blah blah'. If you ever take on such people you have to spend the whole day running around countering the narrative. Who is going to do that? Finally one day after a big showdown managed to rally enough support to kick him out of the org. But guess what happens two years later? The org has financial issues (by which time I had left) and they invite him back in. So even though I have some experience with this stuff on a micro level I really dont know what the solutions are.
