Brave and Vivaldi outsourced the browser engine of the browser part to Google, though. That's the most expensive and work intensive part.
They are also not part of any standardisation committee, as far as I know.
- arp242 5y agoSure, but I don't see how this relates here? My point was that people do want a browser that works well for them, and that the previous comment that "people want a browser that is invisible. They use sites, not browser." doesn't really fit with Brave and Vivaldi's success (also: Opera, and probably a few other browsers).
